AI Readiness Package

Stop wondering whether AI will help your business. Find out in half a day.

Most business owners we talk to are stuck in the same spot: they know AI is going to change their industry, they’ve had a play with ChatGPT, and they have no idea what to do next. Every vendor claims to be "AI-powered". Almost nobody will give you a straight answer about whether it’ll help your specific business. This package fixes that.

Sound familiar?

You’re not alone, and you’re not behind. You just need a clearer picture.

We hear the same things from almost every business owner we sit down with. The pace of technological change is genuinely overwhelming. Here’s what we usually hear in the first 10 minutes.

Drowning in manual tasks

Your team is doing the same admin over and over while competitors get quicker. You suspect AI could help, but you don’t know which bits.

Losing sleep over tech gambles

You’ve been burned before by a project that didn’t deliver. The thought of another expensive AI experiment is keeping you cautious.

Tired of vendor pitches

Every vendor claims to be "AI-powered". Most are selling the same thing dressed up differently. Almost no one will give you a straight answer about whether it’ll help your specific business.

Worried you’re falling behind

You hear the same stories everyone hears. You know something has to change. You just need someone honest to tell you where to start.

What you get

A half-day session, then a year of follow-through.

By the end of half a day with up to 5 of your key people, you’ll walk away with the four things that actually matter. Then we follow up. Quarterly. For a year.

An honest readiness assessment

Not a generic maturity model. A clear-eyed read on your data, your processes, your people, and your willingness to change.

A prioritised roadmap

AI opportunities specific to your business, ranked by effort vs payoff. No buzzword bingo.

A list of things not to do

Usually more valuable than the list of things to do. We’ll tell you where AI doesn’t fit yet, and why.

Concrete next steps

Things your team can start on Monday morning, with or without us. Names against actions, success defined in 90 days.

Two ways to do this

Pick the cadence that fits your situation.

Most businesses start with the half-day. A few, the ones who’ve already decided AI will be central, start with the monthly partnership.

Results you can expect

What changes after the session.

The point of the package is not the document. It’s the clarity, the named priorities, and the confidence to make a decision. Here’s what you should expect to walk away with.

Clarity
on where AI actually fits

No more wondering. You leave knowing which parts of your business AI will help, and which it won’t.

3-5
prioritised opportunities

Ranked by effort vs payoff. Specific to your business, your processes, your data — not a generic top-10 list.

90 days
to first measurable result

Your roadmap is built to deliver something tangible inside a quarter. We define what good looks like up front.

12 months
of follow-through

Quarterly check-ins so you don’t end up with a shelfware report. We hold the plan accountable to reality.

In their words

Understand first. Build second. That’s the approach clients remember.

We brought in Secure Minded to support one of our most important clients with automation and Power BI reporting. They did something radical - they delivered exactly what our client needed, not what we thought they wanted.

Secure Minded took the time to truly understand our complex export operations and responded with brilliant, innovative solutions. The automations they built reduced manual processing time significantly and gave our team visibility we never had before.

The six dimensions

What we actually score you on.

AI readiness isn’t one thing. It’s six. We work through each in turn, scored honestly, with the people who know the answers in the room.

01

AI awareness

How well does your team understand what AI can and can’t do today.

02

Digital foundations

The systems, identity, and data plumbing AI actually depends on.

03

Current AI usage

What’s already in flight, official or shadow, and what’s working.

04

Content & data readiness

How findable, structured, and trustworthy your information is.

05

Process clarity

Whether the work is documented enough for AI to be useful.

06

Capacity to change

Honest read on how much change your team can absorb right now.

How a session runs

Structured, conversational, no PowerPoint theatre.

Most of the value comes from the discussion, not the deck. Here’s how the four hours actually break down.

A working session in progress
  1. Hour 1

    AI Health Check

Six dimensions, scored honestly. By the end you’ll know exactly where you stand, not on a generic maturity model, on your business.

  2. Hour 2

    Opportunity mapping

Your specific processes, your specific data. Where AI actually moves the needle, not where it could theoretically.

  3. Hour 3

    Priorities & pitfalls

Effort vs payoff, ranked. What to do first, and the things that look attractive but aren’t.

  4. Hour 4

    Next steps

Concrete actions with names against them, and what success looks like in 90 days.

How we work

Claude specialists. Microsoft fluent. Responsible by default.

AI is moving fast, but the principles for getting it right in a business aren’t a mystery. We bring the things that matter: focused tool expertise, an honest read on fit, and a security and governance lens applied to every recommendation.

Claude specialists

We chose Claude as our primary AI partner because it’s the most capable and steerable model for business problems. We use it daily, we build with it, and we keep up with how it evolves. Microsoft Copilot stays in the toolkit for the work where it’s the better fit.

Best practices, applied

We follow the responsible-AI patterns published by Anthropic and Microsoft, apply a security and governance lens to every recommendation, and treat your data appropriately. Best practice also means telling you when a popular tool is wrong for your situation.

Practical, not theoretical

We’ve spent years embedded in government and private sector environments solving the kind of problems that don’t make headlines. That’s the lens we bring: what’s actually going to make your business better in 6 months, not what’s the most exciting thing we could build.

Who this is for

We’re honest about fit. You should be too.

Works best if you’re…
  • 5–100 staff, with actual processes and actual data
  • Use Claude as your primary AI tool, with Microsoft Copilot a strong secondary option
  • Genuinely curious, but tired of vendor pitches
  • Willing to act on what you learn
Probably not for you if…
  • Hoping someone will say AI replaces half your workforce next quarter
  • Want a custom AI model built from scratch, different conversation
  • Already have a clear AI strategy and just need a builder
Frequently asked

The questions everyone asks.

What kind of results can I actually expect? +
A prioritised roadmap of 3-5 AI opportunities specific to your business, with effort vs payoff ranked honestly. Concrete next steps your team can act on Monday morning. And quarterly check-ins so the plan actually gets followed through. Most clients leave the session with at least one quick win they can put in motion that week.
Does this follow best practices for AI in business? +
Yes. We apply a security and governance lens to every recommendation, follow the responsible-AI patterns published by Anthropic and Microsoft, and treat your data appropriately. We also tell you when a popular tool is wrong for your situation — best practice includes saying "not this one".
Why Claude specifically? +
We’ve specialised in Claude because it’s the most capable, safest, and most steerable model for the kinds of business problems our clients have — document understanding, analysis, customer-facing assistants. We still work with Microsoft Copilot where it’s the right fit, and we’ll tell you honestly which suits you better.
Can we do the session remotely? +
Yes. In-person tends to produce better discussion, but Teams works fine and we run plenty of sessions that way.
What if we don’t have 5 people to send? +
That’s fine. The package is for up to 5, fewer is okay. The session works with as few as 2 people, though you’ll get more value with a mix of perspectives in the room.
Do we need any prep? +
We’ll send you a short pre-read with three questions to think about before the session. That’s it. No homework.
What if the check-ins reveal we need actual implementation work? +
We’ll quote you for that work separately, or refer you to someone who’s a better fit if it’s outside what we do. The check-ins themselves stay within scope.
Can we pay by invoice instead of card? +
Yes, get in touch and we’ll send a tax invoice with EFT details.
