Who we are

This site is operated by Secure Minded Pty Ltd (ABN 43 689 097 863), a Power Platform and AI consulting business based in Brisbane, Australia, serving clients Australia-wide.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what data we collect when you visit secureminded.au, why we collect it, where it goes, and how you can opt out. We've kept it short and direct on purpose.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages people visit and how they navigate the site. This helps us improve the content. GA4 is configured in cookieless mode using Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent fields set to denied — no analytics cookies are stored on your device, and no persistent identifier is set in your browser.

What is collected

  • Page views and the path you took through the site
  • Browser, operating system, and device type
  • Approximate location (country and city), derived from your IP address — your full IP is not retained
  • Session duration and basic navigation events (e.g. button clicks on key actions)

What is not collected

  • Your name, email, phone number, or any other personally identifying information
  • Your full IP address (Google anonymises it before storage)
  • Cross-site or cross-device tracking identifiers

If you submit our contact form, that information is sent to us by email via Microsoft Graph and is handled separately from analytics. We use it to reply to your enquiry and we do not pass it to advertisers.

Where the data goes

Analytics data is processed by Google LLC, with storage and processing servers located in the United States. We do not sell or share this data with third parties. GA4 retains cookieless event data for 2 months by default.

How to opt out

You have a few options if you'd prefer not to be measured at all:

  • Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
  • Enable Do Not Track (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser settings
  • Use a content blocker or privacy-focused browser extension that blocks Google Analytics

Any of these will stop analytics requests from being sent. The site continues to work normally.

Cookies

Because GA4 runs in cookieless mode, this site does not set tracking cookies and does not require a cookie consent banner. The only client-side storage we use is a small localStorage entry that remembers a hero variant preference if you've manually set one — that value never leaves your browser.

Your rights under Australian privacy law

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you can request access to or correction of any personal information we hold about you. Because this site does not collect personally identifying information through analytics, this typically only applies to information you've sent us directly (for example, via the contact form). To make a request, email stephen@secureminded.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how analytics work on this site, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date at the top. We won't add tracking that requires consent without first updating this notice and adding the appropriate consent flow.
